Curator talk with Johan Lundh

Originally trained as an artist, Johan Lundh (born in 1980) is currently working as an independent curator and writer in Stockholm and New York City. From 1999 to 2008 he studied at Konstfack University in Stockholm were he graduated with a Master of Fine Arts. From 2005 to 2006 he took part in the CuratorLab Curatorial Training Program.

Between 2007 and 2010 he collaborated with Canadian curator Alissa Firth-Eagland as part of the curatorial duo Firth-EaglandLundh. Their collaborative practice examined questions concerning the production, presentation, and dissemination of art and ideas. He has organized exhibitions and projects in Europe and North America both collaboratively and independently, including “Learning from Vancouver”, Western Front, Vancouver, Canada; “Between Us—A Toronto/Vancouver Exchange”, YYZ Artist’s Outlet/Western Front, Toronto/Vancouver, Canada and “The Filip Review Panel”, The Filip Space, Vancouver, Canada. He is a regular contributor to Swedish and international periodicals including Art Lies, Art Papers, C Magazine, Fillip, and Site Magazine.

As a guest at Deutsche Börse Residency Program, Lundh explored the art and culture scene in Frankfurt and did research for upcoming projects.
